“Boots Riley’s first feature is a scintillating comedic outburst of political imagination and visionary fury. With subplots involving grassroots activism, artistic provocations, and media manipulations, Riley dramatizes outrageously complex machinations of predatory greed and depraved misrule - and offers a passionate, joyous vision of resistance.” - Richard Brody, The New Yorker
